The San Jose SaberCats are off to a great start to their 2011 season. With a record of (5-2) The SaberCats average over 60 points game and average over 17 rushing yards per game. They line up to play this Saturday (5/7/2011) at the HP Pavilion in San Jose against the Arizona Rattlers who are also have a good season of their own. With big names like Chad Cook, Mark Grieb, and Samora Goodson, the Cats announced today that San Jose’s all-time leading receiver James Roe has returned to the team for the remainder of the 2011 season. Roe is said to be one of the greatest Arena Football wide receiver to ever play the game and the Cats are very excited about the addition. During his none seasons in the AFL (2000-2008), Roe set the SaberCat’s franchise records for receptions (762), receiving yards (9,452), receiving touchdowns (232) and points scored (1,450). Roe is a three-time All-Ironman pick and received second -team All-Arena honors at wide receiver in his 2007 season with the Cats. He played a part in all three SaberCats ArenaBowl championships and will hopefully contribute to a fourth in this 2011 season.
